2025 is not far off over!! What next

Posted on 1 October 20251 October 2025 By Graham No Comments on 2025 is not far off over!! What next

2025 is not far off being done :O We are already into October this year, and it started with people making sweeping declarations on what they are going to achieve (I put myself into the group), then losing any momentum by the end of January for most people. I am into October now, and although I have done a few things, I am nowhere near the plans I had. I am not writing much and am still just doing blog posts and world-building. Even these are too few and far between.

In the past, I have done this as well, and this year is the same so far . I really hoped not to do this again , but it has happened. I have been doing a lot of thinking over the last few months on what I want to achieve and how I can do this. Below is what I am planning for my writing/reading life.

I am hoping that putting it down in here will allow me to see it more and it will help motivate me to not let the goals drop by the wayside. So the end of this year and into next year I am planning:

  • Read more books
  • Finish the first draft of Rise of the Fallen
  • At least, have an outline done for the Sci-Fi project
  • Do less world building unless it’s realetd tot he current wip

So, in order to achieve the list above I am doing the below to prepare/track.

I have done more planning this year but not followed through so I am going to sit down and come up with a plan to get more done. I am hoping that this keeps me going where I would have given up last time. I am 47 now, and I would like to think I have properly tried to make something of writing before I hit 50.

I have also started using a task list to try and make myself look at any tasks I have set out for myself and then do them to cross them off. This physical writing down of tasks and then crossing off seems to help with getting tasks done.

Hopefully, I can get a routine sorted and start writing. I really do want to do something with all of these ideas rather than just gathering more and more scattered notes.

Until the next update… hopefully more often than I have been.

Currently reading:

  1. Of Darkness and Light (Kobo)
  2. The Technician
  3. In our stars
  4. The Fires of Heaven (Audible)
