Wind and Truth Announcement

Posted on 4 February 2024 By Graham No Comments on Wind and Truth Announcement

Brandon Sanderson is a writing machine, the sheer amount of books he gets through is amazing and in the last few years he has become one of my favorite Fantasy authors, two shelves of my library are his books and I will soon need to move to a third.

Dalinar Kholin has challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions, and the Knights Radiant and the nations of Roshar have a mere 10 days to prepare for the worst. The fate of the entire world—and the Cosmere at large—hangs in the balance.

The latest piece of information was the launch date for the release of the final book (5) of the first era of the Stormlight Archive. This series is massive and includes a brilliant mix of characters and an epic storyline which I can’t wait to read the conclusion. So put the date in your diaries, Wind and Truth is released Friday, December 6th, 2024. I haven’t pre-ordered yet as I am hoping that Waterstones will again have signed versions of the book as the last two I have bought have been signed.

I have noticed that the pricing on Waterstones and Amazon is showing £30 which is disappointing and seems a bit greedy, this isn’t a special edition just the normal hardback. The Sanderson tax is getting worse, and yet I will still buy the hardback and when they come out the paperbacks as well. It’s very frustrating. I am hoping that the price is a placeholder and it will be normal when released. We shall see.

I have another post planned for Sanderson people on the secret projects, as I backed the Kickstarter and have the leatherbounds. They are so nice I don’t want to read them, so I am buying the normal hardbacks. Seriously!

Anyway, I will talk more in that post. See you in the Cosmere.
